The big selling point for this role is that you'd be working in a relatively new and rapidly growing biomedical company that is getting a lot of investment from its parent company in Italy. Also so you don't think you're on a finance island by yourself, you'd be reporting to the Corporate Controller in North Carolina who has a team handling the core accounting (AR/AP, monthly closing) for the business. Cost accounting will be handled from Europe so you'll have the freedom to focus on the analysis of the local operation.
As noted, this role is heavily focused on analysis rather than debits and credits. Some key areas of analysis are:
- Budget vs. actual
- CAPEX spend and forecast
- Customer Credit
CAPEX will be the biggest focus though you will dip into the other areas mentioned above and possibly more in time. You'll be shoulder to shoulder with the director of this business helping make the enterprise successful on a day-to-day basis.
Successful candidates will have many of these things:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting (required)
- Minimum of three years of directly relevant experience
- Self-starter (critical) - as mentioned there is no local finance to lean on so you have to take charge and set your course to make an impact
You'll really shine if you:
- have a solid knowledge of SAP
